The invitations are the best method
for gathering the bachelorette's friends together for a celebration
of her last days as a single lady. Usually the invitations for the
bachelorette party are much more informal than the bridal shower
invitations. Choosing or designing the perfect invitation and party
cards may seem a little overwhelming.
Bachelorette party invitations need to be fun and cheerful. The
invitations do not have to be directly tied to the theme of the
party but might reflect the activities instead. For an example,
if you party will take place at a club or a bar then the invitations
might reflect a common drink and be shaped like a martini glass.
If the party is held at someone's home and will be about relaxing
with some food and wine, the invitations might picture a glass of
wine or maybe a plate of cheeses.
The verse inside also needs to be kept fun and cheery. For instance,
you might say "it won't be much longer that she is single,
so come to the party and plan to mingle". If you are not feeling
poetic, the message can be as simple as "come hang out with
Kathy before her big day!" It does not matter as long as the
message conveys that the purpose of the party is to celebrate the
bachelorette's last days as a single lady and that it will be an
informal event.
If you would like to simplify things even more you can design a
card, about the size of a post card. Using a photo of the bachelorette
on the front is pretty straight forward or you can use a picture
of something that speaks about her interests. If the party is being
held at a special location, like a spa, a picture of the location
will work well. The back of the card should display all the details
of the party and the way that you would like them to RSVP.
Attending a bachelorette party does not require a gift from the
guests like the traditional bridal shower. In the case that the
guests do bring a gift, then the thank you card is a must. It is
best to keep these cards simple with just a "thank you for
coming".
The bachelorette party is intended to be a day of fun and not just
another chore that needs to be taken care of for the wedding. Keeping
the invitations light and simple is important. The party is how
the bride can escape the pressures of planning her wedding and should
be about relaxing and doing a little bonding with close friends.
The cards and invitation should convey a fun and relaxing time with
good friends.
