When it comes time to plan a friend's
bachelorette party, invitations are an important part of making
the event a success. They'll help ensure lots of people show up.
What's more, an RSVP will keep the planner abreast of how many will
be coming.
Usually the bachelorette party takes place a week or two before
the wedding. After you find out or set the date, make a list of
those you'd like to attend. This list not only helps with the invitations,
but also helps you plan a good theme (since theme could vary according
to who's coming). Speak with the bride and make sure that only those
friends and family she wants at the event come to the party.
Historically, only women attended bachelorette parties, but a growing
trend is to include the bride's close male friends also.
After you have the list of names, make the calls necessary to get
all addresses. The invitations themselves can be purchased best
online. They can range from the informal one you hand-write, one
you create on computer, or the professionally-created invitations.
Be sure to send them out a few weeks ahead of time, so that people
have ample time to fit the event into their schedules.
